I work as a mechanic and part-time logger, so my clothes go through absolute hell. I’ve tried many brands, but this WD2118 set in dark gray is by far the most durable and well-designed one I’ve found.
The fabric is the star. The poly-cotton canvas is thick and feels incredibly tough right out of the package. It’s stiff at first but breaks in nicely, becoming comfortable without losing its ruggedness. The claim of “over 70% better wear resistance” seems believable – I’ve scraped against concrete and sharp metal edges that would have torn my old pants, and these just have a minor scuff to show for it.
The reinforced knees are a game-changer. The double layer is thick, and the pocket for inserting my own EVA knee pads is genius. It saves my knees during long hours on the ground. The multiple pockets are deep and strategically placed, perfect for holding all my tools without getting in the way.
